About Wicked Metallics

Wicked metallics was founded in 2016 through a passion for cars and customization.

MJ, the founder, started off by customizing his Pontiac G8. He did his own engine work, wrapped it green, and made his own starlight headliner to follow suit. All of the work was done out of his own garage.

In 2017, MJ started work doing automotive customization at a local company, which is when he realized he wasn’t happy doing his work under someone else’s name. After just a few months, he quit with the hopes of starting his own company. Still needing to fund this dream however, he picked up work for another local company, Auto Kings, who let him rent out a spot to work out of, which he kept from 2018 to 2023. He became good friends with the owner, who told him to follow his dreams and open his own shop when he saw the opportunity. Unfortunately, the owner ended up passing away, which is when MJ decided it was time to get into gear and open his own place, Wicked Metallics.

Fast forward to 2023, after years of being told he was too young to open a shop, Wicked Metallics opened its doors on Eureka in Wyandotte. With some of his best friends and brothers working under him, MJ found a way to beat the odds stacked against him and now operates out of a 10,000 sq ft shop, offering a large variety of automotive customization options.
